Words, texts, fragments of texts,

legible and barely legible writing,

even just abstract marks that resonate in some way with our profoundly rich and important written heritage,

are fundamental elements in my work.

I am particularly fascinatd by the limitations of language -

how ultimately working with words can lead us to confront that which is beyond words.

 

At the moment I am workIng with a deliberately restricted palette seeking to produce quiet presences that encourage a prolonged contemplative engagement.
